‘OAA Club’ Reward for Students

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters and Cleveland Gladiators are rewarding students for their strong performance on last spring’s Ohio Achievement Test and providing motivation for next year’s testing! The “OAA Club” is a certificate rewards program that provides students access to a complimentary ticket to select upcoming Cavaliers, Monsters and Gladiators games as an added bonus for their OAA testing performance. There is no fee to participate. Register your students and school to be included in the OAA Club at http://groups.theqarena.com/oaaclub. You will receive the official OAA Club certificate to pass out to your students! Students will also have the opportunity to participate in exclusive in-game activities such as high-fiving NBA players, watching pregame warm-ups from the Monsters bench, or be included in an on field recognition! Questions? Email Britney Jurchenko at BJurchenko@cavs.com or call her directly at (216) 420-2488.

  1. this sounds like a great idea. However, we don’t live in the Cleveland area. Are there any programs of this kind in Central Ohio??

    • The Cavaliers Operating Company proactively developed this program and it is open to students throughout the state. Certainly, other sports teams throughout the Ohio could develop a recognition program for students succeeding on the Ohio Achievement Assessments. However, this is the only recognition program of this type that has contacted the Ohio Department of Education. If we are contacted about others, we’ll be sure to include in a Tools for Teachers issue. Glad you think it’s a good idea.
